Power comes, not from knowledge kept but from knowledge shared.
The best answer to the extremists is to build a better world.
We live in a world of misinformation. The wealthy elite manipulate the media in order to manufacture consent of policy beneficial to their financial interests. Our elected representatives facilitate this process, while lining their own pockets with the wealth of the poor and middle class. To make matters worse, grifters prey on those who become disenfranchised with the system by spinning webs of conspiracy theories. Our society is fractured and in disarray.
Well intentioned movements for social justice, environmentalism and global unity have been twisted to the whims of a chosen few who preach the benefits of these, while working overtime to undermine their very ideas and outcomes in the first place. What is meant to unify, becomes a perverse vehicle of division.
The only hope you and I have to succeed, or survive in this brave new world, is to arm ourselves with knowledge, learn what it means to be skeptical and require evidence to support argument. To critically think and analyze before we pass judgement. Join me as we learn about the world around us and how best to navigate the way forward.
In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance.
